Virginia Varsity Plays Key Role in Local Hotel Project

|

VVT is in the final stages of a roughly 4-month project in the renovation of a local hotel. Virginia Varsity partnered with Roanoke-based Lionberger Construction Company to aid in the remodel project of the Cambria Hotel & Suites on Reserve Ave which was rebranded as a SpringHill Suites, a Marriott property.

The SpringHill Suites is a 5-story, 4-star hotel with 127 guest rooms and suites. Virginia Varsity provided various services for the project including receiving and warehousing, storage, and moving services. Virginia Varsity provided approximately 2,100 man-hours and 51 days (some partial) for moving furniture out of the hotel and new furniture into the newly remodeled rooms. VV also provided storage and warehousing – as much as 6,819 square feet at one point of the renovation. Jim McFadyen, Virginia Varsity’s Support Specialist who served as project manager, estimated that VV crews moved approximately 5,000 pieces throughout the course of the project.

Visit the Springhill Suites website to see the hotel’s new look. We are proud to have been part of this exciting project and hope to do similar projects in the future!
