On Monday, July 3rd, Virginia Varsity Transfer held its annual ‘Training Day’ where the entire company participated in a full day of immersive classroom and hands-on training. Led by company leadership, three training groups rotated through three separate two-hour training modules to ensure the highest level of job preparedness, customer service and scenario preparation.
Launched in 2013, the Training Day is one day where the company closes its customer schedule and invests in its approximately 40 moving crew members and supervisors. Though all new employees receive significant training when hired, this dedicated, “non-work”, workday reinforces the importance of continual improvement and the high standards expected of all who are part of Virginia Varsity.
Lunch was provided after the second, two-hour session, and at the following Monday’ monthly Safety Meeting, time was dedicated to feedback on making next year’s Training Day even better. Kudos to all who participated and their commitment to our customers and making Virginia Varsity even better!
