Valuation Coverage
|
Before your goods are loaded by Virginia Varsity Transfer you are required by law to value your household goods. There are several options available to you, and they are explained below. It is very important that you read and understand which option you choose. The entire shipment is to be valued.
I. MINIMUM RELEASE OF SHIPMENT
A minimum of $.60/lb per article is included at no additional cost to you. This is the lowest cost protection. For example, if a 20-pound stereo valued at $500 was damaged, your coverage and VVT liability is $12.00.
II. FULL REPLACEMENT PROTECTION
With this option, articles lost or damaged will either be repaired or replaced at the mover’s option. There is an additional charge for this type of insurance. The entire shipment must be valued by the owner of the household goods and a deductible must be chosen. Articles that have extraordinary value ($3000+) must be specifically listed.
