“ON THE OTHER HAND: THE
DEBATE
OVER
MILL
MOUNTAIN”
TO AIR ON COX CHANNEL 9
ROANOKE
–
A new, freshly-filmed show on Cox 9 sheds light on the debate over the future of
Mill
Mountain. Craig Wright serves as moderator for On The Other Hand: The Debate Over Mill Mountain while John Lugar, chairman of Valley Forward, and Gail Burruss, Mill Mountain Conservancy spokesperson, dispute the pros and cons of development atop the mountain.
Valley Forward, an advocacy group for young professionals, has proposed the construction of a community center consisting of meeting rooms, a restaurant and a casual café to be managed by a foundation with a portion of the proceeds going to support Mill Mountain Zoo.
The proposed community center has come against resistance, including that of the Mill Mountain Conservancy, which is adamantly opposed to development on the mountain.
On The Other Hand: The Debate Over Mill Mountain will debut on Cox Channel 9 Tuesday, December 11th at 5 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m. The show will continue to run at 5 p.m. Monday – Friday and at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Viewing options for non-Cox customers are being explored. For additional details on programming on Cox Channel 9, visit

On The Other Hand joins the line-up of local programming on Cox Channel 9 and will continue to explore controversial topics developing in the
