Valley Forward was created to organize the younger generation and advocate economic development and quality of life initiatives and ideas that will benefit the Roanoke Valley for generations to come. Valley Forward is a volunteer group of young people with the simple mission of improving life in the Roanoke Valley and by fostering progress that will aid in retaining and harnessing the abundant creative energies of the younger, professional set.

Issues to be adopted by Valley Forward shall fit as many of the following criteria as possible.      

 

1.        Project shall have the ability to significantly improve the quality of life of the Roanoke Valley

 

2.        Project shall have the potential to be transformational for the valley

 

3.        Project shall have significant and promising economic development potential

 

4.        Issue shall not have a current dominant “champion” (group or individual) that is driving the issue
